History
TAS business owners, George and Judy Meyer, founded Telescan in 1976. George was frustrated with cumbersome systems that were always down and felt, “There has to be a better way to do this.” George developed Telescan to make TAS businesses more efficient and profitable. Consequently, all Telescan products are designed with an architectural philosophy to be the best in the industry and to keep your business up and running 24/7. Many Telescan customers have gone years with absolutely no downtime.

Under the Meyer's leadership, Telescan’s technology continued to evolve through the 1980’s. Finally in 1990 Telescan introduced the Spectrum system and embraced the computer age with its demand for instant communication.
In 2002 Roger Young and Robert Riggs, Jr. purchased Telescan, retaining George Meyer as a consultant. The new team brought years of marketing and business expertise to Telescan. Together with the Telescan’s experienced staff, they committed the company to the development of new products to help TAS companies decrease operating expenses and increase profits. Spectrum by Telescan, a new generation TAS system introduced in 2003, was the first of many innovations. Telescan’s latest innovations for TAS owners include the new Spectrum Information Server with RSS technology, Spectrum Messenger with Remote Visual Desktop Monitoring and Spectrum Visual Scripting technology.
